The other day I was reading a very interesting article on why the strategy "distract and redirect" is not the best how to discipline a toddler (a shock article for me as we use it a lot because it works so well), it made me thinking a lot and I'm re-evaluating it at the moment, trying to figure out our next steps...
Anyway, I noticed Teodor uses "distract and redirect" on me...When I have something he wants, e.g. a camera, he offers me something and when I look at it, he tries to steal the thing from my hands. This is not how I want other people to behave to me, so I guess I shouldn't do it to him either.
Raising a human being with the aim of him having as little issues as possible is damn challenging.
